Nitroform 39-0-0 Slow-Release Nitrogen Fertilizer

Nitroform 39-0-0 is a ureaform (urea-formaldehyde) slow-release nitrogen fertilizer for established lawns, trees, shrubs, and ornamental beds. It guarantees 39% total nitrogen, of which 28.5% is water-insoluble nitrogen that soil microbes release gradually over a period of months, so one application feeds steadily with far less soluble salt than the same nitrogen from urea or ammonium sulfate. Each pound supplies 0.39 lb of nitrogen.

Spread 1.3–2.6 lb per 1,000 sq ft of lawn per application (0.5–1 lb of nitrogen), or 2.6 lb per 1,000 sq ft of root zone for trees and shrubs, on actively growing plantings in soil above about 50°F, and water it in. Release depends on warm, active soil, so it is not a quick-correction fertilizer and is not for hydroponics, fertigation, foliar spraying, newly planted trees, or certified organic programs.
