Alocasia 'Serendipity'

🌿 Botanical Name: Alocasia Hybrid

💚 Common Names: Alocasia Serendipity, Black Elephant Ear

Description:
Alocasia Serendipity is a tall, statement-making beauty with large, heart-shaped leaves in deep purplish-green tones and dramatic dark purple undersides. Flip a leaf and you’ll catch those lime green veins and stems putting on a whole second show. This is a jungle-style plant that brings bold, tropical energy—but like most Alocasias, it expects you to keep its environment consistent and cozy.

Water:
Allow soil to dry about 25% before watering. Keep soil evenly moist, but never soggy.

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light with an indirect view of the sky. Can tolerate slightly lower light, but avoid harsh direct afternoon sun.

Temperature:
Very sensitive to the cold—keep in a warm, stable environment and away from drafts or sudden temperature swings.

Pet Safety:
Toxic to pets if ingested.

🌿 Fleurish Tip:
Think “jungle floor vibes” with this one—consistent moisture, steady warmth, and protection from extremes. If the leaves start drooping or stressing, your environment first. This plant doesn’t do well with surprises… and honestly, same.
