50 Seeds Deflexed Bottlebrush Sedge Carex retrorsa Ornamental Grass

Deflexed Bottlebrush Sedge is a clump-forming wetland sedge grown for its distinctive bottlebrush-like seed heads and arching, grass-like foliage. It brings fine texture and lively movement to damp borders, rain gardens, and the edges of ponds or streams, and its green foliage and bristly seed spikes offer interest from summer into autumn.

This sedge works well as a textural accent among flowering perennials, in native plantings, and in moist meadow or water-edge designs. It also suits container growing where consistent moisture can be maintained. Seed heads can be left standing for winter structure. Start seed indoors or sow directly in a consistently moist site.
