5 Thornless Honeylocust Trees 12 Inch Gleditsia triacanthos inermis Bare Root

The Thornless Honeylocust is a hardy, fast-growing deciduous tree prized for its graceful, fern-like foliage and upright, spreading canopy. Unlike its wild counterpart, this variety is entirely free of thorns, making it a safe and attractive choice for lawns, streetscapes, and open landscape plantings.

This tree works well as a shade or specimen tree in large yards and parks, offering light dappled shade that allows grass and underplantings to thrive beneath it. Its fine-textured leaves turn a pleasant yellow in autumn, and the tree adapts to a wide range of soil and climate conditions with minimal fuss.
