5 Seeds Pineapple Ananas comosus Tropical Fruit Plant

Pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a tropical bromeliad grown for its distinctive sweet fruit and bold architectural foliage. It forms a rosette of stiff, spiny green leaves and produces a single fruit atop a central stalk, making it a rewarding project plant for warm climates and indoor containers.
Grown as an ornamental and culinary plant, pineapple adds tropical character to gardens, patios, and bright interiors. Plants grow slowly and need warmth, strong light, and well-drained soil to thrive. The fruit develops on mature plants, typically over one to two years, and the leafy crown can also be rooted to start new plants.
