2 Seeds Horse Chestnut Aesculus hippocastanum Ornamental Shade Tree

Aesculus hippocastanum, commonly called horse chestnut, is a large deciduous shade tree valued for its upright panicles of white flowers in spring and its bold, palmately compound foliage that creates a strong ornamental presence in the landscape. It develops distinctive spiny seed capsules in autumn, and the smooth brown seeds within are a familiar sight to many.
This tree works well as a specimen planting in parks, large yards, and spacious gardens where its broad canopy can be appreciated. The seeds can be gathered for ornamental crafts and seasonal displays, and the tree also offers shade and structure over time. Its showy spring bloom and textured fruit add multi-season interest for growers who appreciate a classic, stately tree.
