100 Seeds Spotted Bee Balm Monarda punctata

Spotted Bee Balm is a native wildflower known for its unusual whorled blooms, which stack in tiered clusters of creamy yellow petals dotted with purple spots and framed by pale lavender bracts. This drought-tolerant member of the mint family brings a distinctive architectural look to meadow plantings, pollinator gardens, and naturalized landscapes. The foliage releases a pleasant herbal scent when brushed, adding sensory appeal to the garden setting.

Spotted Bee Balm works well in mixed borders, cottage gardens, wildflower meadows, and pollinator plantings, where its tiered flower heads rise on upright stems through the summer season. The blooms are long-lasting and suited to fresh or dried arrangements. As a clump-forming perennial, it returns each year and spreads gradually under favorable conditions, pairing nicely with grasses and other native perennials. Start seeds indoors or sow directly in a prepared bed.
