10 Seeds Sempervivum Species Mix Hens and Chicks Succulent

These seeds produce a charming mix of Sempervivum species, commonly known as Hens and Chicks. This hardy succulent forms tight, rosette-shaped clusters that spread slowly to create a living tapestry of textures and subtle color variations, perfect for rock gardens, container plantings, or as a low-maintenance ground cover. Each tiny rosette develops into a mature plant that produces offsets, adding lasting visual interest to any sunny spot.

These ornamental succulents thrive in well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade, making them ideal for alpine troughs, green roofs, or crevices in stone walls. They are remarkably drought-tolerant once established and require minimal care, with growth most active during cooler seasons. Sow seeds on the surface of gritty compost, keep lightly moist until germination, and provide protection from heavy winter wet for young plants.
