10 Seeds Heimia salicifolia Sun Opener Shrub

Heimia salicifolia, commonly called Sun Opener, is a slender deciduous shrub with narrow willow-like leaves and bright yellow flowers that appear through the warmer months. It brings a light, airy texture to borders, meadow plantings, and container arrangements, and its graceful form makes it a rewarding choice for gardeners who enjoy unusual flowering shrubs.
Grow it as an ornamental accent in a sunny bed or large patio pot, where its fine foliage contrasts nicely with broader-leafed companions. The cup-shaped yellow blooms open over a long season and are followed by small seed capsules. Sow seed on the surface of a moist, well-draining medium, keep it warm, and give seedlings steady light for even, healthy growth.
