1 Live Plant Copper Beech 20 Inch Tall Fagus sylvatica Purpurea Starter Tree

Copper Beech is a stately deciduous shade tree admired for its smooth silver-gray bark and deep purple foliage that shifts through rich burgundy and bronze tones across the seasons. This 20-inch-tall starter tree arrives as a 1 to 2 year old, well-rooted young specimen, ready to begin its journey into a long-lived landscape centerpiece.
Copper Beech works beautifully as a specimen tree, in mixed borders, or along a property line where its dense canopy and striking color can be appreciated. The foliage holds its deep hue through the growing season, and the tree develops a broad, rounded canopy over time. Its graceful, spreading habit adds year-round architectural interest, and the leaves often linger into winter on younger trees. Grow it in a sunny to partly shaded spot with room to mature into a grand shade tree.
