1 Live Plant Black Mulberry Tree Morus nigra 2 Year Old Bare Root 12 Inch Tall

Black Mulberry is a long-lived fruiting tree grown for its sweet, dark berries and attractive foliage. This two-year-old bare root tree arrives approximately twelve inches tall, ready to establish in a sunny garden setting. Its compact size suits small orchards, edible landscapes, and container growing in cooler regions. The fruit ripens to a deep black-purple and is prized for fresh eating, baking, and preserves. Leaves are heart-shaped and lend a lush canopy through the growing season.

Black Mulberry performs best in full sun with well-drained soil and regular moisture during establishment. It can be grown as a specimen tree, trained in a container, or incorporated into an edible garden border. Pruning in late winter helps maintain shape and encourages healthy new growth. The berries are enjoyed fresh, in jams, pies, and desserts. Birds and pollinators are naturally drawn to the tree. Fruit production typically increases as the tree matures.
