1 Live Plant Black Mission Fig Ficus carica Fruit Tree

Black Mission Fig is a classic fig variety prized for its sweet, dark purple fruit and dependable production. This live plant arrives ready to establish in warm, sunny gardens, containers, or home orchards, offering attractive lobed foliage and a rewarding harvest season after season. Ficus carica is a deciduous species that grows well in many climates and can be maintained in pots in cooler regions with winter protection.

Grow Black Mission Fig as an ornamental edible specimen in patio containers, greenhouses, or in-ground orchard rows. The fruit is enjoyed fresh, dried, or used in preserves and baking. Plants generally begin bearing once mature, often producing two crops in favorable climates. Regular watering and a sunny, sheltered position support healthy growth. Prune lightly in late winter to shape and maintain size.
