1 Bare Root Sitka Spruce Starter Plant 6" Picea sitchensis Evergreen Conifer

Sitka Spruce is a fast-growing evergreen conifer known for its tall, narrow form and dense blue-green needles, making it a standout choice for windbreaks, privacy screens, and large landscape plantings. Its graceful silhouette and hardy nature give it year-round structure and appeal in temperate gardens. This starter plant arrives bare root at 6 to 12 inches tall, ready to establish quickly in a suitable site.
Sitka Spruce works well as a specimen tree, in rows for shelterbelts, or mixed into woodland plantings where its upright habit adds vertical interest. It prefers cool, moist conditions and performs best in open ground with consistent moisture. The needles are short, sharp, and arranged around the twig, giving the tree a rich texture. Plant in full sun to partial shade in a well-drained but moisture-retentive location.
