Scientific name: Passiflora incarnata

Maypop (Passiflora incarnata) is a native passionflower vine found throughout much of the eastern United States (Pennsylvania and south). It produces stunning, intricate blooms that pollinators adore, followed by egg-shaped fruit with edible pulp that tastes remarkably like Hawaiian Punch — usually ripe in fall.

Growing Conditions
Light: Full Sun to Part Shade
Hardiness Zones: 6–9
Growth: Vigorous vine; spreads via underground runners
Bloom: Summer | Fruit Ripens: Fall

Tip: Plant in a large container to keep runners contained.

About Our Plants
Plants ship in 2.5" pots at the size listed in each variant. Winter orders will receive potted maypop roots — once temperatures warm, the plant will resume active growth. In zone 7, plants typically emerge in May depending on ground temperature.
