Majestic Mustard Blend

Majestic Mustard Blend blends two of the most powerful biofumigant mustards into one convenient mix. As the plants break down, naturally occurring compounds called glucosinolates are released into the soil, where they suppress weeds, pathogens, and harmful nematodes — acting as a natural biofumigant.

Benefits

• Suppresses broadleaf weeds and reduces pathogens and harmful nematodes
• Produces high volumes of organic matter
• Captures and recycles soil nutrients
• Improves soil aeration and water penetration
• Reduces wind and water erosion
• Attracts beneficial pollinators with its blossoms

Majestic Mustard Blend can also be used as a trap crop for certain harmful nematodes, flea beetles, and cabbage aphids.

For Soil Use Only — Not for Grazing

Majestic Mustard is not suitable for grazing by livestock. We recommend you do not feed Majestic Mustard to animals, as the glucosinolates in mustard may irritate digestive tracts or contribute to thyroid problems in livestock if consumed in large quantities over time (DiTomaso and Healy, 2007).

The Science

• Sinalbin glucosinolates (also known as 4-hydroxybenzyl) suppress broadleaf weeds
• Sinigrin glucosinolates (also known as allyl or 2-propenyl) reduce pathogens and harmful nematodes
