Ajuga 'Midnight Mystery'

Ajuga reptans 'Midnight Mystery'
Bugleweed

Ajuga 'Midnight Mystery' is a striking, low-growing perennial groundcover prized for its intense, dark chocolate-colored foliage that creates dramatic contrast in any landscape. Spring through mid-summer brings spikes of vibrant rosy-pink flowers that rise gracefully above glossy leaves, attracting bees and butterflies while remaining deer and rabbit resistant.

This versatile spreader excels at filling gaps between pavers, edging pathways, and suppressing weeds in both sunny and shaded spots. Its sophisticated deep tone serves as a perfect backdrop for lighter perennials, transforming garden beds with minimal effort.

Plant in well-draining, moderately moist soil in partial shade for best results, though it adapts to full sun or full shade. Keep soil consistently moist until established, then water moderately. Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigor and control spread.

This pet-friendly groundcover thrives in neutral to slightly acidic soil and tolerates diverse growing conditions. Its low maintenance requirements and year-round visual interest is a must addition to any space. Add Ajuga 'Midnight Mystery' and watch your landscape come alive.
