Aeonium 'Peacock Plume' is a striking, highly sought-after variegated succulent featuring wide, flat rosettes that transition from soft green and creamy-white edges to vibrant pink and burgundy hues. Its elongated, waxy leaves droop gracefully, giving it a lush, floral-bouquet appearance.
Key Characteristics
Appearance: Long, lance-shaped leaves with cilia (fine hairs) along the margins. Colors shift dramatically depending on the season and sun exposure.
Growth Habit: Readily produces offsets to form a compact, shrub-like bouquet. It typically grows up to 12 inches tall.
Availability: Highly collectible and relatively rare. Specimen sizes can range from single-head cuttings to larger 25cm clusters.
Care Instructions
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light, avoiding intense summer afternoon sun.
Soil: Prefers slightly more moisture-retentive, well-draining soil, such as sandy loam or potting mix amended with perlite, rather than dry, gritty mixes.
Watering: Water thoroughly in spring and fall, letting the soil partially dry between sessions.
Temperature: As winter growers, they may go dormant in hot summer months and require protection from frost.
