Aeonium 'Great Fortune' Variegata (sometimes referred to as 'Good Fortune') is a stunning Asian cultivar derived as a mutation. It features vibrant rosettes known for their temperature-driven color shifts.
Key cultivation highlights include:
Growth Cycle: Unlike most succulents, Aeoniums grow actively in the fall, winter, and spring, and go dormant during the hot summer months.
Light: Provide bright, indirect light or morning sun. Variegated aeoniums are sensitive to harsh, direct afternoon sun, which can scorch their delicate, low-chlorophyll leaves.
Watering: Water sparingly and only when the soil is completely dry. Reduce watering even further during the summer dormancy period.
Soil: Plant in a highly porous, well-draining succulent mix to prevent root rot.
