Golden Ragwort (Packera aurea) is a native perennial wildflower valued for its cheerful yellow daisy-like blooms and its ability to thrive in shaded, moist settings. It forms attractive clumps of rounded green foliage and produces upright stems of bright yellow flowers in spring, making it a welcome addition to woodland gardens, rain gardens, and naturalized areas where color and texture are desired.
Golden Ragwort is well suited to borders, shade gardens, and pollinator-friendly plantings. Its early-season blooms offer nectar and pollen to a variety of pollinators, while its semi-evergreen foliage provides ground cover through much of the year.
