50 Texas Bluebonnet Seeds Lupinus texensis Wildflower Planting Pollinator Friendly Cottage Prairie Flower

Texas Bluebonnet is a beloved annual wildflower native to Texas, celebrated for its dense spikes of deep blue blossoms tipped with white. This low-growing lupine creates sweeping carpets of color in meadows, roadsides, and home landscapes, and it pairs beautifully with other spring-blooming wildflowers in cottage and prairie-style plantings.
These bluebonnets are a wonderful choice for pollinator gardens, wildflower meadows, and naturalized areas, where their nectar-rich blooms draw bees and butterflies through the spring season. They perform best when sown in fall in regions with mild winters, as cool temperatures help seeds break dormancy and establish strong roots before bloom. Plants prefer lean, well-drained soils and full sun, and they typically self-sow to return year after year in suitable climates. For best results, scarify or soak seeds before sowing to improve germination.
