50 Seeds Sand Penstemon Penstemon acuminatus

Sand Penstemon is a hardy perennial wildflower native to the western United States, admired for its upright stems of tubular blue-purple flowers and narrow, pointed green leaves. It brings a natural, meadow-like charm to sunny gardens, rock gardens, and native plant landscapes, and its nectar-rich blooms are a favorite of bees and hummingbirds.

This drought-tolerant species thrives in well-drained, sandy or rocky soils and performs best in full sun, where it forms compact clumps with multiple flowering spikes in late spring and early summer. It works well in xeriscapes, pollinator gardens, border plantings, and wildflower meadows, and its tidy habit and long bloom period make it a dependable choice for low-water landscapes.
