50 Seeds Marsh Marigold Caltha palustris Wetland Wildflower Perennial

Marsh Marigold is a cold-hardy herbaceous perennial native to marshy meadows, stream banks, and wet woodlands, prized for its glossy heart-shaped foliage and cheerful buttercup-like golden blooms that signal early spring. It forms tidy clumps that return reliably year after year in consistently moist to boggy ground, making it a standout choice for water margins and rain gardens.

Its vivid yellow flowers and rounded green leaves bring bright early-season color to pond edges, bog gardens, and damp borders, and the plants naturalize slowly to create dense flowering colonies over time. Grow it where soil stays wet, pair it with other moisture-loving perennials, and enjoy its long-lived, low-maintenance presence in the landscape.
