5 Seeds Red Kamala Tree Mallotus philippensis Tropical Dye Plant Ornamental

Red Kamala is a tropical evergreen tree grown for its ornamental foliage and its brightly colored seed capsules, which are valued by crafters and dyers. It makes an attractive specimen or shade tree in warm climates and can also be cultivated as a container plant where winters are cool.
The foliage offers a soft green backdrop in the garden, while the fuzzy red-orange capsules are traditionally collected for use in natural dyeing and craft projects. Trees are dioecious, with male and female flowers typically on separate plants. Provide warmth, consistent moisture, and bright light for best growth; container plants should be moved indoors or protected during cold spells.
