5 Seeds Pyrus betulifolia Birchleaf Pear Tree Ornamental Hardy Rootstock

Pyrus betulifolia, commonly called birchleaf pear, is a deciduous ornamental tree valued for its glossy, birch-like foliage that shifts through vivid seasonal color. It brings an elegant, fine-textured look to yards, borders, and open landscapes, and is widely grown as a vigorous, cold-hardy rootstock for grafting pear cultivars.
Small white blossoms appear in spring, followed by tiny, inconspicuous fruit later in the season. The slender leaves turn shades of red, orange, and burgundy in autumn, making it a strong multi-season specimen. Use it as an ornamental lawn or street tree, in mixed borders, or as a dependable rootstock for home grafting projects. It grows at a moderate to fast pace and adapts well to a range of soils once established.
