5 Seeds Popcorn Senna Cassia didymobotrya Yellow Flower Shrub

Popcorn Senna (Cassia didymobotrya) is a tropical to subtropical flowering shrub prized for its upright, candle-like clusters of bright yellow blooms that open in succession along the stem, giving the plant its distinctive popcorn-like appearance. The feathery, pinnate foliage and long bloom period make it a striking ornamental for warm-climate gardens, large containers, and pollinator-friendly landscapes. This listing offers fresh seeds for growers looking to add a bold, fast-growing accent plant to their collection.

Popcorn Senna is typically grown as an ornamental shrub, where its showy yellow flower spikes create vertical interest and contrast against its airy green leaves. It performs well in full sun and well-drained soil, and can be grown as a perennial in frost-free zones or as an annual or potted specimen in cooler climates. The plant responds well to regular watering during establishment and benefits from light pruning to encourage a bushy, floriferous habit.
