5 Seeds Parkia biglandulosa Badminton Ball Tree Tropical Flowering Tree Ornamental Shade Tree

Parkia biglandulosa, commonly called the Badminton Ball Tree, is a tropical flowering tree appreciated for its tall, spreading canopy and its distinctive spherical flower clusters that hang from long stalks and resemble badminton shuttlecocks. Native to tropical regions, it makes a bold ornamental statement in warm-climate landscapes where a large, architectural tree is desired.

The tree produces feathery, bipinnate foliage that casts light, dappled shade, and its unusual pendulous blooms add seasonal interest. It works well as a specimen tree, in spacious gardens, parks, and tropical or subtropical plantings. Provide a warm position with good light and well-drained soil, and allow generous room for its mature spread.
