5 Seeds Leucothoe racemosa Leucothoe Shrub White Flower Native Plant

Leucothoe racemosa, commonly called swamp leucothoe or sweetbells, is a deciduous native shrub admired for its graceful arching branches and clusters of small white bell-shaped flowers that appear in spring. Its upright, suckering habit and attractive foliage make it a lovely choice for naturalistic and woodland plantings.
This shrub works well in native gardens, rain gardens, and along pond or stream margins where its spreading habit can naturalize over time. Its flowers are visited by pollinators, and the foliage develops warm tones in autumn. Grow it in consistently moist, acidic soil for best results.
