5 Seeds Leucothoe axillaris Coast Leucothoe Evergreen Shrub

Leucothoe axillaris, commonly known as Coast Leucothoe, is a low-growing evergreen shrub valued for its arching branches and glossy, leathery foliage. It forms a spreading habit that works well in shaded borders, woodland plantings, and foundation areas, offering year-round structure and texture to the garden.
This shrub suits naturalistic and woodland landscapes where its cascading form can soften edges and fill understory spaces. The foliage provides consistent green color through the seasons, and its moderate growth rate makes it manageable in mixed plantings. It can be used as a low hedge, groundcover mass, or accent among other shade-tolerant ornamentals.
