5 Seeds Fuchsia magellanica Hardy Fuchsia Flowering Shrub

Fuchsia magellanica, commonly known as Hardy Fuchsia, is a flowering shrub prized for its graceful arching stems and pendulous blooms. Native to southern South America, it has become a garden favorite in temperate regions for its long flowering season from summer into autumn. The slender tubular flowers in shades of red and purple dangle elegantly against small, lance-shaped green leaves, creating a refined, old-fashioned charm in beds, borders, and containers.
This versatile shrub works beautifully as a specimen plant, informal hedge, or patio container centerpiece where its trailing habit can be fully appreciated. The blooms are attractive to hummingbirds and other pollinators, adding lively motion to the garden. It performs best in cool, moist conditions and benefits from a sheltered position with dappled or partial shade, particularly in hotter climates.
