5 Seeds February Daphne Daphne mezereum Fragrant Flower Shrub

February Daphne is a deciduous shrub valued for its early-season bloom, producing clusters of highly fragrant flowers on bare stems before the foliage emerges. It adds winter-to-early-spring interest to temperate gardens and is a well-known ornamental for borders and woodland plantings.
This shrub suits mixed borders, cottage gardens, and naturalized areas where its perfume and early color can be appreciated up close. The flowers are followed by foliage and decorative berries later in the season, and plants perform best in consistently moist, well-drained sites with some shade.
