5 Seeds Eriodictyon californicum Yerba Santa Shrub

Eriodictyon californicum, commonly known as Yerba Santa, is a resilient evergreen shrub native to the chaparral and woodlands of California and Oregon. It is valued for its leathery, aromatic foliage and clusters of tubular flowers that range from white to pale lavender, attracting pollinators and adding texture and interest to dry, sunny landscapes.
This shrub works well in native plant gardens, drought-tolerant borders, and informal hedges, where its dense habit provides structure and cover. The sticky, fragrant leaves have traditionally been used in teas and topical preparations, while the plant itself offers year-round greenery in mild climates. It thrives with minimal care once established and prefers well-drained, rocky or sandy soils.
