5 Seeds Carpathian Walnut Juglans regia Hardy Nut Tree

Carpathian Walnut is a cold-hardy selection of Juglans regia prized for its reliable production of thin-shelled, easy-to-crack nuts and its stately, spreading form. It makes an excellent long-term shade tree for home landscapes and a rewarding choice for growers interested in home nut production.

The nuts are well suited to fresh eating, baking, and cooking, and the tree offers strong ornamental value with large aromatic leaves that turn golden in autumn. Carpathian Walnut is grown as a standard specimen tree and benefits from deep, well-drained soil and room to reach its full size. Seed-grown trees vary in shell thickness and nut quality, and grafted cultivars are preferred where consistent nut characteristics matter.
