5 Seeds Canary Islands Date Palm Phoenix canariensis Hardy Tropical Palm

Phoenix canariensis, commonly known as the Canary Islands Date Palm, is a majestic and robust palm prized for its arching fronds and stately silhouette. Native to the Canary Islands, this species is widely grown as an ornamental tree in warm temperate and subtropical landscapes for its bold architectural presence.

Its feather-like fronds form a dense, rounded crown atop a thick, textured trunk, making it a striking specimen for gardens, avenues, and large containers when young. The palm is adaptable to a range of well-drained soils and, once established, tolerates wind and coastal conditions. It is grown primarily for ornamental use.
