5 Seeds Arrow Arum Peltandra virginica Wetland Perennial Aquatic Bog Plant

Arrow Arum is a striking wetland perennial valued for its broad, arrow-shaped green leaves that rise on upright stalks, creating a lush tropical effect in ponds, bogs, and water gardens. Peltandra virginica is native to eastern North American marshes and shallow waterways, where it forms clumps of bold foliage that add structure and texture to aquatic landscapes.
Ideal for water garden margins, rain gardens, and consistently moist beds, Arrow Arum grows as a clumping herbaceous perennial that produces dense foliage through the warm season. Its architectural leaves pair well with other moisture-loving plants, and the species self-sows readily in favorable wet conditions, making it a dependable choice for naturalistic water features and wildlife-friendly plantings.
