4010 Forage Spring Pea

4010 Forage Spring Pea is the industry standard in forage peas — a tall, long-vined, lavender-flowering variety known for high biomass production, outstanding crude protein content, and excellent palatability. It establishes quickly in cool weather, fixes nitrogen aggressively, and makes an ideal companion crop with forage oats, spring triticale, or spring barley, where the small grain provides structural support and adds effective fiber to the mix.

With roughly 4,000 seeds per pound, a durable seed coat, and strong seedling vigor, the 4010 is a reliable performer across a wide range of well-drained soils. It's equally at home as a solo spring cover crop, a high-protein forage for grazing or baleage, or a wildlife food plot planting attractive to deer during critical growth periods.
