30 Seeds Smartweed Persicaria punctata

Smartweed (Persicaria punctata) is a native annual wildflower that thrives in moist soils, producing slender stems and delicate spikes of tiny white to pale pink flowers. It is prized for its ability to naturalize in wet meadows, rain gardens, and along pond edges, where it provides seasonal texture and a subtle, airy presence.

This versatile plant works well in water-wise landscapes and restoration projects, offering a source of nectar for small pollinators and seeds for birds. Its upright, branching habit makes it suitable for the back of a moist border or as a filler among taller perennials. As a low-maintenance species, it adapts readily to consistent moisture and can be easily managed by thinning if spreading is a concern.
