30 Seeds Devil's Cotton Abroma augusta

Devil's Cotton (Abroma augusta) is a fast-growing tropical shrub or small tree prized for its large, drooping burgundy-red flowers and broad, heart-shaped leaves that create a bold, exotic presence in warm-climate gardens and container collections. The blooms open in succession over a long season, followed by distinctive five-winged seed pods that add further ornamental interest to the plant.

This species works well as a specimen accent, in mixed tropical borders, or as a large patio container plant where it can be moved indoors during cold spells. The soft-wooded stems and vigorous habit make it a rewarding grower for enthusiasts of unusual flowering shrubs, and its foliage and flowers offer striking contrast against finer-textured plants. It can be maintained at a manageable size with occasional pruning.
