3 Live Plant Columbia Star Blackberry Thornless Rubus hybrid Starter Plug

Columbia Star blackberry is a thornless trailing blackberry developed for home gardens and fresh eating, valued for its sweet, firm fruit and vigorous growth. Plants arrive as starter plugs ready to establish in the garden or a large container. This variety produces long, flexible canes that benefit from trellising, and the thornless stems make harvest and routine care more comfortable for gardeners of all experience levels. The berries ripen in midseason and are well suited to fresh use, freezing, and baking.

Grown for its ornamental value as well as its fruit, Columbia Star works well along a fence, arbor, or patio trellis where its white spring blooms and dark berries can be enjoyed. Canes are trailing in habit and perform best when trained onto a support. Provide consistent moisture during establishment and mulch to conserve soil moisture. Prune spent canes after fruiting to encourage new growth for the following season.
