25 Seeds Scirpus cyperinus Woolgrass Native Wetland Grass

Scirpus cyperinus, commonly called woolgrass, is a native warm-season perennial sedge that forms sturdy clumps of narrow green foliage, topped in summer by brownish flower clusters that mature into distinctive fluffy, woolly seed heads. Its arching form and season-long texture make it a notable choice for naturalized areas, pond margins, and low-lying garden spots.

Woolgrass suits rain gardens, water edges, and meadow plantings where its clumping habit provides cover and structure through fall and winter. Give it consistent moisture for best growth, and expect the showy seed heads to persist well into the cold months.
