25 Seeds Blanket Flower Gaillardia aristata Drought Tolerant Perennial Wildflower

Blanket Flower, botanically known as Gaillardia aristata, is a hardy perennial wildflower valued for its long season of bright, daisy-like blooms in warm shades of red and yellow. Plants form neat, upright clumps of green foliage and flower generously through summer, making them a cheerful choice for borders, meadow plantings, and pollinator-friendly gardens.

These easygoing plants perform well in full sun and lean, well-drained soil, where they bloom freely with minimal fuss. The nectar-rich flowers blend beautifully into cottage gardens, wildflower meadows, and mixed perennial beds, and the sturdy stems hold up nicely for cut flower arrangements. Allow spent blooms to remain if you wish to encourage natural self-seeding in the garden.
