20 Seeds White Lupine Lupinus polyphyllus

White Lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus) is a herbaceous perennial grown for its tall, upright spikes of white pea-like flowers that rise above palmately compound green leaves in late spring and early summer. A traditional cottage garden favorite, it brings vertical structure and bright contrast to mixed borders, meadow plantings, and cutting gardens.
In the garden, White Lupine works well mid-border behind lower perennials and in wildflower or pollinator-friendly plantings. The flowers are long-lasting in arrangements and are followed by ornamental seed pods if left to mature. Plants grow in a clumping habit and appreciate consistent moisture and cool conditions during establishment.
