15 Seeds Yellow Wild Indigo Baptisia tinctoria Native Perennial

Yellow Wild Indigo is a native perennial that forms compact, shrub-like clumps of blue-green foliage topped with spikes of small yellow pea-like flowers in late spring and early summer. It brings a natural, meadow-style look to borders, pollinator gardens, and low-maintenance landscapes, and the foliage remains attractive through the season after the blooms fade.
This plant works beautifully in native plantings, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial beds, where its upright habit adds structure and its flowers draw attention when in season. It grows best in full sun to part light shade with well-drained soil, tolerates drought once established, and requires little ongoing care. Its seed pods can be left on the plant for winter interest.
