100 Seeds Strawflower Golden Yellow Xerochrysum bracteatum Drought Tolerant Cut Flower Garden

Strawflower Golden Yellow (Xerochrysum bracteatum) is a warm-season annual prized for its stiff, papery blooms in rich golden yellow tones. The flowers hold their color and shape well, making them a favorite for borders, cutting gardens, and dried arrangements. Plants grow upright and bloom freely through summer into early fall, adding long-lasting color to sunny beds and containers.

These easy-to-grow flowers perform best in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating heat and dry spells once established. Use them in mixed borders, pollinator-friendly plantings, or cut and dried floral projects where their crisp texture and vibrant hue stand out. For fresh bouquets, harvest stems when blooms are partially open; for dried use, cut near full open and hang upside down in a cool, dark, dry area.
