100 Seeds McKana Columbine Aquilegia x hybrida Multicolor Perennial Flower

McKana Columbine is a classic hybrid columbine prized for its large, long-spurred blooms in a vivid mix of red, yellow, blue, purple, pink, and white. Plants form graceful clumps of lacy blue-green foliage and bloom generously in late spring to early summer, adding airy color and movement to borders, cottage gardens, and woodland plantings. The nodding, spurred flowers are a favorite of hummingbirds and other pollinators and also work well as cut flowers.
This easy-to-grow perennial is versatile in the landscape, ideal for mixed beds, shade gardens, naturalized areas, and container plantings. It tolerates a range of light conditions, performing best with some afternoon shade in hotter climates. A single sowing yields a wide array of flower colors, and established clumps return each year and gently self-sow when conditions are favorable. Start seeds indoors in late winter or sow directly after the last frost for blooms the following season.
