100 Seeds American Sycamore Platanus occidentalis Shade Tree Fast Growing

American Sycamore is a large, long-lived deciduous shade tree known for its massive size and distinctive mottled bark that peels to reveal creamy white, tan, and greenish patches beneath. It features large, broad maple-like leaves and spherical seed balls that dangle from the branches, providing strong ornamental interest across seasons.

This tree is an excellent choice for spacious landscapes, parks, and large yards where it can develop its full canopy. The wood is used in furniture and butcher blocks, while the seed balls add winter texture. It grows vigorously in moist, rich soils and tolerates wet conditions, making it suitable for low-lying areas and along streams and ponds.
