100 Scarlet Flax Seeds Linum grandiflorum rubrum Red Flax Annual Wildflower Seeds for Planting

Scarlet flax (Linum grandiflorum rubrum) is a fast-growing annual wildflower known for its vivid crimson-red blooms that open above slender, airy stems. The simple five-petaled flowers create a bright, cheerful presence in borders, meadow patches, and wildflower mixes, offering a delicate texture that contrasts nicely with broader foliage plants.

This flax works well in cottage gardens, pollinator-friendly plantings, cutting gardens, and informal drifts where its fine stems can sway in the breeze. It typically blooms in late spring through summer, with each flower lasting briefly but appearing in continuous succession, followed by small round seed pods. Plants prefer full sun and well-drained soil, and they often self-sow where conditions suit them.
