100 New York Ironweed Seeds Vernonia noveboracensis Native Purple Wildflower Tall Meadow Perennial

New York Ironweed (Vernonia noveboracensis) is a tall, clump-forming native perennial noted for its vibrant purple, fluffy flower heads that bloom in late summer through early fall. Growing on sturdy, upright stems, it brings bold vertical color to meadows, pollinator gardens, and naturalized landscapes, where its late-season bloom supports a range of beneficial insects.

This easy-to-grow wildflower is well suited to rain gardens, native plantings, and the back of perennial borders, where its height and vivid color create a striking backdrop. The flowers can be used in fresh or dried arrangements, and the plant's deep root system helps it thrive in consistently moist sites.
