10 Seeds Saxaul Haloxylon ammodendron Hardy Desert Shrub Drought Tolerant Ornamental Xeriscape

Saxaul (Haloxylon ammodendron) is a distinctive desert shrub or small tree prized for its finely textured, jointed green stems and remarkable tolerance of arid, exposed conditions. It brings an unusual architectural quality to dry gardens and xeriscapes, offering year-round structure where few plants thrive.

Its leafless, succulent-like stems create a soft, airy silhouette suited to desert-themed borders, rock gardens, and windbreak plantings. The plant is slow-growing and long-lived, developing a deep root system that supports its resilience in poor, sandy ground.
