10 Seeds Fragrant Wintersweet Chimonanthus praecox Tree Shrub Bonsai Landscaping

Fragrant wintersweet is a deciduous shrub or small tree valued for its unusual winter bloom, producing small, pale yellow flowers with a distinctive sweet fragrance on bare branches. It offers a welcome burst of color and scent during the coldest months when most other plants are dormant. Its upright, spreading habit and glossy green summer foliage make it an attractive specimen or hedge plant across the growing season.

This versatile plant works well as a landscape shrub, mixed border feature, or trained as a bonsai specimen. The winter flowers are a seasonal highlight, and the branches can be cut for indoor arrangements. It grows at a moderate pace, prefers well-drained soil, and becomes more floristically generous with age.
