10 Seeds Eastern Gamagrass Tripsacum dactyloides Native Ornamental Grass

Eastern Gamagrass is a robust native warm-season perennial grass grown from seed, valued for its clumping habit and distinctive seed heads. It forms upright, arching clumps of broad green foliage and produces unusual jointed spikes that add texture and seasonal interest to naturalistic plantings.

This grass works well in meadow gardens, prairie restorations, rain gardens, and wildlife-friendly landscapes where its size and structure create a strong architectural presence. It grows vigorously in warm conditions and prefers consistent moisture, making it a useful choice for low-lying areas and native plant borders.
